Kantner and Mulvihill Expand Firm's C-Suite at COO and CFO

Clark Schaefer Hackett (CSH), a top 100 accounting and advisory firm, has appointed two new chief executives: Kellie Kantner as Chief Operating Officer, and Sarah Mulvihill as Chief Financial Officer.

“As our firm continues to grow in scope and complexity, our executive management needs are growing as well,” said Kerry Roe, president of CSH. “The need to add a COO to help manage the complexities evolved from our transformation from accounting professionals to business advisors. We chose Kellie Kantner due to her impressive background in professional services, track record of success, and vision for helping us be future ready.”

Kantner previously held multiple executive roles at Cincinnati-based Empower, a creative media agency. She has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Ohio University.

Kantner said: “I’ll be responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and overseeing operational activities throughout the firm, but the real fun is going to be driving a cultural evolution with a focus on not just what we do, but how we are doing it.”

“Our new CFO will oversee the critical financial functions of our firm, but more importantly help drive our mission to better the lives of our clients, people, and communities,” continued Roe. “Sarah Mulvihill has a strong background in public accounting and an impressive breadth of experience with early-stage companies as well.”

Mulvihill joined CSH from VonLehman & Company, where she served in two executive accounting positions. Prior, she worked for several well-known Cincinnati institutions, including FC Cincinnati and Vantiv (now Worldpay). Mulvihill earned a bachelor’s in Economics from Davidson College and a master’s in Accounting from The Ohio State University.

“I’m proud to join CSH at such an important juncture for the firm,” said Mulvihill. “I’m eager to help the firm develop its finance and operations strategies and dig deep into our business while expanding our data analysis capabilities.”

In 2021, CSH appointed Emily Smith as General Counsel, and Carl Allison as Chief Human Resources Officer. The professional services firm was listed once again in 2022 on the Top 100 Accounting Firms.
